Our whole bean coffee comes in three different roasts … Medium (our favorite), Café (a multi-colored blend of medium, medium/dark, and dark roasts), and Dark (great for espresso).

The label on the front of our bag is a painting by local Hawaiian artist, Kathy Long, of the entrance to our farm. We are located on the slopes of Mauna Kea at an elevation of 2,500 to 2,800 feet on the lush Hamakua Coast of the Big Island above the town of Honoka’a. The cold air coming down from the mountain flows right through our farm and gives us very cool nights. This results in an extended amount of time that it takes for the coffee cherries to ripen and enhances the body and flavor of the roasted coffee. In addition, our soil is different from that on the leeward, drier Kona side of the Big Island. Mauna Kea is about 1 million years old and last erupted 4,500 years ago. Its soil has developed a rich, fertile quality. Thus, much like a fine wine, our coffee has an exceptional taste due to its particular climate and soil. Our coffee is soft and smooth with a robust and balanced finish ... “Paradise in a Cup!”

The price is $15 for half a pound and $30 for one pound (whole bean only, please be sure to specify roast) plus delivery by USPS Priority Mail as follows:

This is an ideal storage container for your coffee once you have opened the bag. Remove the lid by pressing on the tab … empty the beans into the container … press the tab again and push the lid back down onto the container which removes the air. Then just store it at room temperature in your cupboard. This will keep your coffee fresh!

    Rich Tasting and So Smooth

Posted by Jane on 11th Dec 2017

I've been a fan of Kona Coffee from Hawaii ever since our honeymoon 25 years ago. We recently discovered Hawaiian Cloud Forest coffee on a visit to the Big Island's Merriman's restaurant.
Such a great-tasting cup of coffee and a better value has won me over! My new favorite.

Next best thing to being there

I love this coffee. It's rich and smooth and perfectly roasted. I bought some in May when we visited the island and I think it's well worth importing to the mainland.

Can't Go Back to the other Coffee!

Posted by Unknown on 18th Oct 2017

Visited the Big Island in 2010. Stopped at a road side stand for a cup of coffee. Best coffee ever. My husband won't drink the other brands - just pure organic Hawaiian Cloud Forest since 2010!

    None Better

I agree with Mike below. You will not be sorry. This is the best coffee I have ever experienced. Visited Hilo on the big island and took a drive west. Picked up a bag of whole beans in Cafe Pesto in Kawaihae and have never looked back, except to buy more! It has a rich yet smooth taste, and is not bitter. I am a customer for life! I also like the way the beans are grown in an environmentally friendly way.

Love this coffee. Even ground some up and took with me on my safari because most coffees in Africa are just ok or you are forced to drink Nescafé !! Drinking CloudForest now!

    Best Coffee from Hawaii (IMHO)

Posted by mike on 30th Jun 2017

This is one of the best coffees available, from a non-traditional area of the Big Island of Hawaii. Sincerely produced by Mr Gunther and his extended family with much aloha. Give it a try and you will not be sorry.

The only downside to this coffee is that once you've had it you can't go back.....beware.

Coffee as good as most Kona but at a more reasonable price.
